CAMP MARANATHA:In 1980, the Lord led BCM Italy to purchase an old farmhouse with ten acres of land, as a permanent campsite in Italy. It was virtually impossible to find places to rent, so purchasing was a real necessity. The camp is located in the Apennine Mountains in central Italy, about forty miles inland from Rimini, where we live and minister. Since there is no evangelical witness in the camp area, our desire is that the camp might eventually be used to begin a church in that area. The farmhouse was rebuilt and is fully functional. A staff house was added in 2005. This building is used for our cooks, speaker and other helpers. During family camps we are able to house some of the campers as well in this building.The camp is used all summer and periodically throughout the year, since both buildings have central heating. Camp Maranatha has been instrumental in the salvation and discipleship of many.
